Well Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and all of that.
We have just returned from a couple of weeks holiday in Queensland spending time with our family. It was lovely and my husband and I have decided to move up there in February. We hope to be settled before the new baby arrives in April and we are very excited about it.
I got some great Xmas presents from my husband …. sort of…. I actually bought/ordered and wrapped them. It was the only way I knew how to get what I really wanted. His general feeling is that nothing says love like a play station game. I got the Amy Butler book In Stitches which is fantastic. It is very well written and so many great projects that are really tempting to make. I am really interested to know if there is a “stitch along” or “sew along” realated to this book. I had a quick look but couldn’t find anything. I also got her High Street Messenger bag pattern (from quilt fabric delights.com) which I plan on making and using as my new baby nappy bag.

I have also made some crafty New Years resolutions -
-
to blog at least once a week (on both this and my family blog)
- to try and work on one project at a time until completion BUT to avoid boredom I can have one sewing, one spinning, one knitting project etc going at a time
- use fabric and yarn from my stash, no more ordering online and if I need to buy more get the cheapest possible alternative
- buy no more patterns or craft books, read and use what I already have or use the net and find ones that are free
