After Sheridan made her doll quilt and I bought the one from the market; information and posts seem to be popping up everywhere around me about dolls quilts.
I think they are a fantastic idea. You get to play with small amounts of some of your favourite fabrics, you can be as creative or as adventurous as you like without committing to a large quilt and it is such a quick and easy project. One day I have every intention of making one.

This week I was left a comment by losabia who has initiated a doll quilt swap. I think it is a great idea. Basically you need to make a completed quilt that is about 18″ x 24″ from cotton (or natural) fabrics by 30 April. Sign ups close April 6 and to join all you need to do is contact losabia by email. Check her blog for more details about the swap, some links to some great free patterns and other bloggers doll quilts.
I would love to be involved in this but because the baby is due in less than 3 weeks I really can’t commit to having a quilt finished in time.

Thank you for posting about the swap! Hope to have you in the next one

Hi! Belated congratulations on your new arrival! I haven’t forgotten my promise of a doll quilt for you, and you can see it here:

I’ll send it next week. And if I’m being too bold, just let me know, but you’ve been so productive craft-wise lately, you might want to join in the next round! There’ll be a month to complete a doll quilt, and we’d love to have you along

Sign-ups start tomorrow here:
