I got all excited about the doll quilt challenge (not the swap) and have already made a little quilt top. I was keen to do this as I already had the blocks made and knew that it would take long to cut them up and re sew them.
It is a great little project and I had lots of fun experimenting with the different ways of putting the 4 pieces of the nine patch back together.
This is the end result.
It doesn’t appear to be a continuous pattern as it uses both types of blocks; patterned and plain centres. I did it pretty quickly and the sewing isn’t spectacular or precise but I had heaps of fun with it.
All I need to do now is finish it off: baste, back, quilt and bind it!

Hey, what a great project! It looks lovely, and I think this is a great blog post – lots of WIP photos so I feel like I am right there with you!
Great work, gorgeous quilt!
