I am having some trouble at the moment with my little girl. Her favourite game is “wake the baby”, so this morning I spent some distraction time with her in her room.
While I was there I was looking around and I noticed how many toys and things that I have made her. I am pretty sure that these things tucked in the shelves of her room were the first of my crafty phase. Most of them were made while she was still very little – before the age of 6 months. Where did I find the time? I was even back at work then too.
These are not all of her handmade toys but some of my favourites.
I knitted her this jointed bear (a pattern leaflet by Panda) and a purple bunny (from Family Circle – Easy Toys).

I made my first quilt for her which was from a kit from Patchwork with Gail B called Petal Pushers.

I also made her this alphabet book. The pattern is from sew baby and each page is machine appliqued. I do have a quilt for Q which my step mum made – I am not very fond of it. But now that I can quilt a little I will have to make another.

I also made two sock monsters. The pink one is from a pair of my socks and the other is from a pair of hers.

It is nice to see all of these handmade things and hopefully one day she will appreciate them as much as I enjoyed making them.
I also went back through my blog on this crafty trip down memory lane. Would you believe that I started blogging a year ago this week? Doesn’t time fly when you are having fun.

I love the alphabet book. I should make one of those for my daughter! Thanks for sharing.
Happy Blog Birthday!
And Miss B is a very lucky girl – you’re a wonderful mother. I know she will treasure these items when she is older.
I LOVE your bear and your rabbit! I, too, enjoy knitting toys. I’m so glad I found your blog. All of your work is beautiful.
