Since returning to work and study I have tried to exercise regularly to get fit and help with my energy levels. (I could also do with losing about 8kg too!) Prior to Christmas I was going to the gym (at work) 3 times a week. Now with my shifts I am only getting there once or twice a week.
Inspired by a very good friend who has just completed an Iron Man, I have started running. I think it was Nicole from the Stash and Burn Podcast that briefly mentioned couch to 5K.
After a bit of research I found out that it is a 9 week program which gradually improves your running through interval training. To begin with …. I can’t run, but would love to.

The idea is that you do the program 3 times a week then move on to the next week, which is a little harder. As I am not so fit and can’t run I have decided to remain on each weekly program until I can complete it successfully 3 times before moving on. I did week 1 five times!
Here is a link for the program in metric distances if you are running on a track. I use time intervals and listen to Robert Ullery’s podcast for guidance It is pretty cool as you just listen and he tells you when to run and when to walk.
There are two reasons I am telling you about this
1. I have found it a great way to get into running and can see the changes in my fitness already
2. I kind of thought that if I told the world then it more motivation for me to complete the program and would be harder to give up.

Good luck! Exercise and fitness have never been my strong point. Congratulations on embarking on your running program!
You go girl!!! I am very impressed! Good luck with it!
Come on, we can do this !! Lets start again
