Karen from and so I sew is hosting a Prints Charming skirt sew a long.
We are using skirt patterns from the sew what skirts book.
Karen is going through the A-line skirt pattern on her blog step by step.
The fabrics for the front panel are from my scrap packs that I bought from Prints Charming when we went there for SIT.
I decided to make a straightish (slight A-line) yoke skirt with a zip in the centre back. I used a heavy black denim for the yoke and back.
The hem and waist band are simply finished with bias binding.
When I first made this skirt I wasn’t that impressed with the colour palate that I had and thought it was a little bright. Yet I wore it the other day with a simple black long sleeve Tee and my new black boots and I don’t think it looked that bad.

Awesome Donna
You were wrong about the colours!! It looks great.
It looks great Donna – I really need to pull my finger out – I could be wearing it in this chilly weather we are having at the moment:)
